EFFIC is an energy efficiency renovation management and grant funding processing company. We have the experience of having managed more than 50,000 renovations in approximately 3,000 municipalities throughout Spain in the last 5 years.
At EFFIC we offer a comprehensive diagnosis of your building, free of charge. We propose an integral renovation solution from the point of view of improving energy efficiency and we accompany you throughout the process.
An individualized study will be carried out in order to present the products and installations that we offer that customize to your needs, with the purpose of achieving a reduction in consumption and/or demand. If you hire our services, in the case of multi-family dwellings, you will be eligible for grants of 40% of the products installed (with a limit of €3,000); and deduct 40% of the non-funded part from your income tax return.
Likewise, we assist in finding very attractive financing conditions that will allow you to pay in easy installments.
The installation of contracted products may be fully financed by collaborating financial institutions, which will allow our customers to benefit from better-than-market financial conditions.
The APR is set below 6% per annum (with a grace period between 1 and 24 months), below other consumer loans that are usually above 7-8%. At EFFIC we take care of putting the customer in contact with the collaborating financial institution to make the corresponding financial study and see if the customer is eligible for financing.
The financing may be signed once the funding is granted and prior to the start of renovation. The customer will be able to benefit from a grace period of up to 24 months, which means that during this period of time, he/she will only pay the interest on the loan and not the repayment of the principal.
We will pass your contact on to the bank so that they can get in touch with you as soon as possible.
We will try to take as much data about your home by telephone through our technical team and a technician from our approved network and specialist in energy efficiency will visit the home to perform an individualized study tailored to the needs of your dwelling.
The objective of this visit will consist of taking technical data of your home for the efficiency study (including the simulation of the initial Energy Efficiency Certificate), the choice of improvement measures and the preparation of the budget.
The technician will be able to resolve all the queries that arise about the process (types of products offered, financing, processing of grants, execution of works, etc.).
At the time of acceptance of the quote and conditions, a deposit of €150 + efficiency certificate fees must be paid in order to process the grant. The fees range between €0 and €30, depending on the autonomous community.
From the moment of the acceptance of the budget and the acceptance of EFFIC as a renovation company, we will contact the client to finish compiling the necessary information for the application for the grant.
A maximum period of 3 months is established to respond to the granting or denial of the grant from the time the application is submitted.
In addition, the possibility of requesting advances to have funds available before the start of construction is contemplated.
If the grant is not obtained, this deposit will be recovered by the client (provided EFFIC is liable for the grant not being granted and that the municipal authorities argue against the awarding it). In the event that, although the grant is granted, the client decides not to continue with the process, the deposit will not be refunded, but the processed certificate will be delivered to the client.
Once the funding has been granted, before work commences, and provided that EFFIC is the beneficiary of the grant, the client must pay only the ineligible portion. This, in most cases will be 60% of the total amount of the work (VAT included) with the corresponding reduction of the €150 provided as a deposit at the time of acceptance of the budget.
Once the total amount of the non-funded part has been paid, the works will be started, and the works and the administrative filing of the grant will be finalized, once justified before the competent body of each autonomous community.
No. According to the provisions of Law 19/2021 on urgent measures to promote building rehabilitation, the grant is not included in the taxable base, and additionally, it is contemplated that the customer may deduct up to 60% of the non-funded amount of the work in their personal income tax return.
